Shadia Costume Design

Shadia is one of the finest belly dance costume designers in the U.S. Her fabulous creations have graced many, many dancers in the United States and even internationally. I've been working with Shadia on a web site to showcase her costume portfolio and promote her costume design and production business. Her personal story is fascinating and you'll enjoy the costume photos on the Portfolio page.

Musette, Mistress of Mischief and Smokey Robinson

I photographed these talented performers from the Flying Poodles Big Sexy Circus at the Amsterdam Bar in St. Paul, MN. on April 25, 2013. The show was very funny and the audience had a great time. I've been working with costume designer Shadia for almost a year on a web site for her costume business. We're getting close to completion. Shadia's late husband was a Lebanese percussionist and she was a dancer in a musical group that toured throughout North and South America. I took these photos of the instruments they played in the ensemble. The drum and the dancer's scarf symbolize the partnership between Shadia and her husband.
